Negative thoughts are either a call to more negative thoughts or a call to positive action.  When negative thoughts pop into my mind, one of two things happen.  They either create a cascade of more negative thoughts, or I take positive action to eliminate them.

Negativity is the most powerful thought magnet in the world.  It’s impossible to think only one negative thought.  When I think the first one, suddenly dozens of new ones make their appearance.  They proliferate at an exponential rate and quickly overwhelm my mind.  They are a negative gift that never stops giving.

When I pull the handle on a slot machine, I usually lose my money.  I never hit the jackpot.  That’s why they call them one-arm bandits.  Negative thoughts are just the opposite.  When I pull on the handle of negativity, I hit the jackpot every time.  Hundreds of negative thoughts pour out.  Unfortunately, when I win, I lose.  I never need to hit the jackpot of negativity.  Every time a negative thought enters my mind, I take positive action.  There is no other way to keep from drowning in a sea of negative toxic waste.  I snatch victory from the jaws of defeat with positive action.
