People who live their dreams expect to encounter adversity and setbacks.  It isn’t a question of whether it’s going to happen; it’s a question of when.  It’s impossible to do anything worthwhile without meeting up with adversity and setbacks.  You hope your judgment is right more often than it’s wrong, but mistakes are inevitable, and you need to know ahead of time exactly what you are going to do when setbacks come your way.  A strategic plan increases the probability you will survive adversity with your objectives intact

1.   Never panic.

2.   Make a limited and orderly retreat.

3.  Sacrifice only those things that are unimportant and expendable.

4.  Assess the situation.

5.  Marshall your resources.

6.   Plan your counterattack.

7.  Take enthusiastic, positive, and fearless action.

8.  Never quit.
